About Our Program: The Food Science and Nutrition program at i3L is committed to fostering excellence in education, research, and outreach. We offer an undergraduate program that prepares students careers in the food industry, public health, clinical nutrition, and academia. Our faculty are at the forefront of food safety for impactful and product innovations, striving to address critical global challenges related to food and health.
Responsibilities:
● Teaching and Mentoring:
○ Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate courses in Food Science and Nutrition, covering topics such as Nutritional Biochemistry, Food Chemistry, Public Health Nutrition, Food Processing, Sensory Evaluation, and Dietetics.
○ Advise and mentor students on academic progress, career pathways, and research projects.
○ Contribute to curriculum development and program assessment to ensure alignment with industry standards and evolving scientific knowledge.
● Research:
○ Establish and maintain a robust and innovative research program in an area of Nutrition, aligning with departmental strengths and contributing to the advancement of the field.
○ Actively seek and secure external research funding through competitive grants from national and international agencies.
○ Publish high-impact research findings in leading peer-reviewed journals.
○ Present research at national and international conferences and symposia.
● Service and Community Engagement:
○ Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives.
○ Engage in professional development activities to remain current with advancements in Food Science and Nutrition.
○ Contribute to outreach activities, translating research and knowledge to benefit the broader community and industry stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
● Education: A Ph.D. in Nutrition or a closely related field (e.g., Nutritional Sciences, Public Health Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition) from a reputable, accredited university.
● Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, suitable for teaching, research, and professional communication.
● Foundational Knowledge: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge across key areas of Nutrition science.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Research Experience: A proven track record of successful research studies in relevant areas of Nutrition, demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
● Grant Writing: Experience in preparing and submitting competitive grant proposals.
● Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching at the university level (undergraduate or graduate).
● Professional Registration: Hold a valid "Surat Tanda Registrasi" (STR) Nutrisionis
● Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
