Description of Business Development Executive - i3L University

Job description:
1. Conduct market research to identify potential industry partners and clients for the institute's research activities.
2. Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners and clients, acting as a liaison between them and the institute's faculty.
3. Identify research opportunities that align with the institute's capabilities and research interests, and communicate these opportunities to potential industry partners and clients.
4. Work closely with faculty to understand their research interests and capabilities and develop strategies for commercializing their research.
5. Develop proposals and negotiate contracts with industry partners and clients.
6. Track and report on business development activities, including revenue generated and business opportunities pursued.
7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and use this knowledge to inform the institute's business development strategies.
8. Hosting and participating in industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to promote the institute's research capabilities and identify potential business opportunities.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business administration, or a related field.
2. At least 1-3 years of experience in business development or sales in the life science industry (pharma or food industry).
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with faculty, industry partners, and clients.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate potential business opportunities.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
7. Willingness to travel as required.
