Description of Application Technologist Intern (Sweet) - International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF)

Job Description
Interns will support daily operations in Beverage, Dairy, and Baked Goods Labs, assisting Food Technologists in:
* Preparing bases and developing product formulas
* Conducting flavor screenings and shelf refreshment
* Performing simple sensory and market sample evaluations
* Running relevant analytical tests, product processing, and pilot trials
* Packaging and labeling products for customer submissions

Key learning objectives:
* Understanding product formulation for beverages, dairy, baked goods, and confectionery
* Gaining hands-on experience in processing techniques (mixing, pasteurization, baking, UHT, carbonation, etc.)
* Developing basic sensory evaluation skills
* Exposure to market trends and consumer insights

Requirements / Qualifications
* Enrolled as a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior
* Major in Food Technology
* Skills in product formulation/development, food and beverage processing, food safety, and sensory testing
* Strong communication, problem-solving, creativity, learning agility, and time management
